Wore this out initially for a 2 year old birthday party but after consulting with Himself and endless self-examination, decided to respect myself and went back to change into a pair of jeans.

I didn't want to be that girl at a kids party that all the mothers were side-eyeing.

Black & Gold

Went to a bridal shower last weekend (aaaaaalllll of my friends are jumping the broom) and we had to wear black dresses and statement jewelery. So I wore my fall-back black dress and a gold body harness.

I call it my fall back dress because its my token LBD and is whipped out for nearly every occasion that requires a black dress. The poor thing will soon start giving away at the seams, I'm really regretting not buying at least 3 of them.

60's Preppy

I fancied (in my mind) that I was channeling the Kennedy's in their Hyannis port early 60s heyday by slapping on a striped man's button down and giving my photo a vintagey-ish filter.

Wore this on Sunday to have lunch with my fave and my friend Mia at a South African seafood restaurant called Ocean Basket. Typical Lagos, there's a new place open every week and everybody was going nuts about this Ocean Basket place so I decided to check it out.

We had the cajun prawns, Kingklip fish, half fries and rice, calamari salad, mussels and olives.

Pretty good food but the best thing about it was the amazing service. The waiters were polite and helpful, the manager was a godsend, the owner was nice and jokey.....combined with the delicious food I'm definitely going there again.

Zara "Ankara" Print Tee

I've been known to raid the mens section of a store; I love mens shirts and sneakers, and when I saw my friend Terrence of OneNigerianBoy in this Zara tee I knew I had to have it.

Hello wardrobe staple.

Its seriously soft and looks like something that'll probably fade after a series of washes so if you have it I'd advice you eschew machine washing and hand-wash strictly, probably with washing powder made for delicates.

I know not everybody can be as anal as me when it comes to laundry (not just laundry, life even), I mean I even have cashmere shampoo to wash cashmere fabrics in and separate washing powder and fabric softener for delicates. Just try though, nothing like preserving the life span of clothes.
