TWP Loves Brian Lichtenberg

Took my Brian Lichtenberg 'Homies" tee out for a spin last weekend for drinks with friends.

I've wanted one for the longest time so while I was in LA I wasted no time getting it.

Brian Lichtenberg 'Homies' Tee; H&M denim cutoffs; Gucci hi-top sneakers; Indigo Boutique neck-piece; ASOS gold link anklets worn as bracelets

Brian Lichtenberg's line of tongue in cheek tees are hugely popular with celebrities and have been worn by the likes of Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Ciara, Cara Delevigne, Christina Milian, Jourdan Dunn etc.

The line consists of t-shirts, sweatshirts and beanies which parody popular designer logos such as Hermes, Celine, Burberry, Balmain, Gucci etc.

My favourite is obviously the Homies tee as well as the Feline tee, the Burrrr tee, the Grace Bones tee and the Twerkin' for a Birkin tee.

Another one that I'd give my right nut for (if I had a right nut) is my babygirl Ciara's 'Ballin' muscle tee she had on in her awesome AF 'Body Party' video.

Beautiful!

I got mine from Kitson in Los Angeles but you can also buy online at shopbrianlichtenberg.com

Virgos Lounge Aggy - 3 Ways

I was in Abuja the majority of last week for work and though I didn't see the sunlight for the first 3 days because of all I had to do, I had at least a day to recuperate before heading back to Lagos.

I haven't been in Abuja properly since I was in Law School and I was so excited to be there I felt like I'd left the country.

My work ended proper on Thursday and everybody knows Thursday nights in Abuja belong to PLAY so I headed down there to BYOB with the best of them.

Pulled out my old faithful, the Virgos Lounge Aggy blazer. I've worn it twice since I got it and it still remains a show stopper whenever its pulled out.

Virgos Lounge Aggy jacket; H&M tank dress; Gucci hightop sneakers

I'd spent most of my week in tight AF shift dresses and heels and my feet were begging for comfort so I decided to indulge them and rock sneakers.

I love the "laid-backness" of the sneakers juxtaposed against the full on glam blazer.

Rocked out at PLAY with my friend Doyin and her husband...

My cousin Charles, who owns PLAY and my brother from another mother, Achike

So I decided to compare this Aggy look with the other two times I've worn it, I think my favourite is the middle photo where I wore it with the sheer maxi skirt.

Where do you guys think I wore it best?

Wide-Leg Trousers: Two Ways

"I told you, gimme a minute and I'll be right back"
Hellloooo lovaaiirrrsss, who missed me :)
So I'm officially back in the swing of things in Lagos and due to the fact that I'm doing 20 things a day I have to be dressed in an outfit that can easily transition from day to night.
Wide leg trousers are a favourite of mine and being as tall as I am, finding ones long enough are a serious chore; for example I've had the black trousers on the right for 5 years now, luckily they still fit, but since I got them I haven't found another suitable pair of high waist wide-leg trousers until I discovered Aqua By Aqua.

Like honestly if you know anywhere I can get 38 inch flared trousers please let me know, its a personal mission I've undertaken.

Shirt: Primark. Trousers: Aqua By Aqua 'Travolta' pants in Stone. Bag: Ralph Lauren tote in Epi leather. Shoes: River Island block heeled loafers

Shirt: Primark. Trousers: Topshop. Bag: Bill Blass 'Oliver' lamb bag. Shoes: Tory Burch 'Aaden' ballet flats. Sunglasses: Prada Baroque. Watch: Gucci

Dark lips = hot for the season by the way. I've got Revlon lipstick in Black Cherry on.

I'm currently loving these chiffon pants by Nigerian label, Grey.

Amazing print too.

Watching The Throne

My ears are still ringing, my voice is gone, my joints ache.......this tells me two things; I'm way to old to be up and about past 10pm and I had an unbelievably epic night.

Best. Concert. Ever.

The Watch The Throne concert was an experience.

Thanks to Thisday I've seen loads of awesome artistes; Jay Z, Ciara, SWV, Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Missy Elliot, Rihanna, John Legend, Shakira, Kelly Rowland, P. Diddy, R. Kelly, T-Pain etc (oh and I saw Nelly, Nas and Murphy Lee at the Transcorp one time) but due to overpriced tickets, late starts and terrible seating I've never really felt like I was having the the full concert experience.

WTT changed all that.

It literally blew my mind, I'm not even kidding. I'm already a massive Jay Z and Kanye West stan and watching the two of them tear up the stage at the O2 was insane.

First off, I got into London yesterday on what had to be the hottest day of the year, like it was boiling. Dropped my stuff off at my friend Mia's and we decided to head into Central so we could eat and go to the concert from there.

In my mind its already summer, you can't tell me nothing.

 Miss Selfridge mullet top
H&M boyfriend shorts
Gucci hi-top trainers
Louis Vuitton Brea MM

I LOVE how long this top is, from the back it almost looks like an extra long t-shirt dress.

I already knew the show was going to be epic, my friend Nwabugo went on Saturday and she's not even a hip-hop head like that but she came out raving at how awesome it was. Some people aka Dami had been tweeting and instagramming about it non-stop so I knew it was going to be an experience but still nothing prepared me for the greatness I was about to see. It can't even be captured fully in words and pictures, you had to have being there.

And yeah Kanye West is really nuts, the man has a serious god complex, I love it but he needs some sort of leash to reign him in from time to time.

I tweeted about how if Kanye and Jay Z were really in the Illuminati they had def initiated everyone in the room that night. There were so many instances when we all threw up the Roc diamond in unison, some times without even being told to and I'd just look round the immense venue and every single person had their hands up, fervour in their eyes, sometimes completely silent. I don't believe in the whole Illuminati conspiracy theories but I can't lie it was a little eerie at times, like we were all in one big cult and Jay and Kanye were kinda like leaders. Even Mia who is one big vat of level headedness had to admit that the whole thing seemed not quite kosher.

It didn't help that they were beaming all these weird symbols about and had these bestial images on the screen, I repeat,; I do not believe in the existence of a celebrity Illuminati but I think Jay Z and Kanye probably think the whole thing is a big joke and tend to play to the gallery a bit.

In the interest of my old bones I had a seat even though I love a good mosh pit but I needn't even have bothered because I was on my feet all night and there was such a great atmosphere in the room that by the end of the night I was best friends with all the people around me; hugging, dancing and taking pictures. It reminded me of when I went to see The Hangover, by the time I left the cinema I had made like 20 new friends, all from laughing over how hilarious the movie was.,

The girl on the left was probably the nuttiest person in the entire arena, she had to be occasionally restrained to stop her from getting to the stage. Love her.

I never saw a chair or a table I couldn't climb when I was hyped up on good music and by the time Jay Z did 'Big Pimpin' (which is my all time favourite Jay Z song) I was on my chair, top wrapped around my waist because it was blazing in that arena and trying to dougie and keep my balance at the same time.

Best bits of the night; Izzo, Big Pimpin, Stronger, All Of The Lights and the baba..........Niggas In Paris which they performed EIGHT times, 8!!!!!!!!!!!

Lord I damn near lost my mind.

Best. Night. Ever

Ripped

I'm moving back home in a couple of months so I've been cataloging my clothes dividing them into "keep", "sell" and "give to charity".

The ones for sale are going to be put up on a new blog address called Shop TWP and they are basically clothes and accessories that are brand new or pre-loved but in fantastic condition. The ones that don't go up on the site will be sold off in a wardrobe sale when I get back to Lagos in July.

Lord knows it'll be a miracle if I ever get it off the ground even because I'm a renowned hoarder, I can save stuff for years. At my last wardrobe sale I actually cried when my things were getting sold off.

I think I like clothes and bags more than I like people sometimes :)

The long and short of this fabulously cool story I'm telling is that I discovered these jeans I'm wearing in the pictures below when I was rummaging through the piles of stuff I have stashed all over my flat, I haven't seen them in years. They were regular old skinny jeans that I ripped and frayed myself a few years ago and haven't worn in yonks.

LOVE them still.

Overlook my Blue Steel, I wasn't pissed or nothing but dark lippie and ripped jeans don't really go with wide toothy grins.

In case anyone's interested in my goth pout, its Revlon lipstick in Black Cherry.

H&M slouchy tissue tee
DIY  ripped jeans
Ralph Lauren Epi leather tote
Gucci high-top trainers

Fishtail braid comes separately

Lol.

I've finally perfected my fishtail braid, like I'm on pro type levels now.

*big things poppin'*

On a completely unrelated note, anyone on here watch Basketball Wives Miami? Like, what do you guys think about the foolywang going on this season with Evelyn and Tami tapping into their inner teenage bully week after week. I don't even want to get into the hot mess to the power of a thousand that's Evelyn's ratchet ass assistant Nia. I can't lie I'm one of the people that loves the drama all these reality shows bring but all this season I've been cringing watching Tami and Evelyn gang up on Jennifer, all because she doesn't want to be friends with them anymore. Until I started watching these shows I had this idea in my head of grown women being all serene and regal and only bothered with taking care of their families but they've taught me that women never grow up. We're all still teenagers in secondary school, with all the gossiping, back-biting and bullying.

Ridiculous.

I'm not so mad that I'll go sign the petition to get Eve & Ocho from airing in September though, looking forward to seeing Evelyn make a bigger fool of herself  :)

Day Out

Got into London a couple days ago and made the nearly fatal mistake of going to Madame Tussauds with friends. I hadn't being to Madame Tussauds since I was a child, and then only the one in New York, so I thought visiting the London one would be a fun way to pass the time.

Went with my friends Yoko, Nwabugo and Hilda

Seriously layered up in this photo. Its just my luck that when I had nothing to do and was holed up in my flat 24/7 the UK experienced a week or so of amazing warmth. Then the period I now have to be up and about the temperature decides to plummet. Like London is even mild, I damn near froze while waiting for a bus in Aberdeen last week.

Not cute.

With everything I had on I honestly looked and felt like a yeti.

H&M fur gilet
Topshop motorcycle jacket
River Island striped blazer
H&M two tone sheer mullet shirt
Gucci scarf
Topshop supersoft 'Leigh' jeans in Pewter
Mulberry 'Daria' hobo
Gucci hi-top trainers

Easter Saturday was probably the worst possible day to visit any type of tourist attraction in any major city because we stood in a queue for 3 hours (no kidding), just to get into Madame Tussauds. Whenever we got tired and wanted to leave we'd rationalize it by saying, "well we've already queued for this long, might as well give it 10 more minutes".

It was the longest 3 hours of my life. Not like I'm even that fascinated by wax figures, we only just went there on a whim and ended up spending a lifetime in line.

Bleh.

Was only interested in seeing my favourite Royal......

and my Queen Bey...

Sadly Beyonce's wax figure was awful.

Like of all the times to immortalize Bey inwax they choose the Sasha Fierce era? Plus it didn't even look good, at all. They really need to fix up and give Beyonce a do over, I'm so not pleased with their work concerning her.

Random; if you're a diehard member of the Beyhive I know you would have already seen Beyonces tumblr and re-done dot com site. If you haven't best skedaddle on over there and stan like crazy. Like that tumblr site is everything, I can't even articulate how awesome it is.

Oh yeah.....I'm a Digger Bey, no wasps allowed :)

Despite Madame Tussauds attempting to take my life I had a fun day out with my girls, we made a really cute video in Shepherds Bush station where we performed Vic O's 'After Party', like singing and dancing......Londoners are used to nutters but we def received our fair share of side-eyes. Not putting the video up here because I promise you the embarrassment factor is way off the Richter.

*sidebar* I played a pub quiz last summer where the clue was "Cybills front bottom" and the answer was "Shepherd's Bush", you know, like Cybill Shepherd and her front........Christ, the English are something else.

Good times.
