L'Espace x Blogger 2015 Limited Edition Calendar

So this is a project I've been really excited about......

The fabulous and amazingly forward thinking L'espace By LPM Team put together a calendar for 2015, featuring 12 fashion and beauty bloggers across the continent.....and had I not been included I will probably have been apprehended while skulking around Olosa street with some kind of explosive device.

By far my favorite aspect of this calendar was that the pictures of the bloggers were going to be illustrations. I've always wanted an illustration of myself and here come the lovely people from L'espace pretty much giving me one for Christmas. I mean I stalk Hayden Williams Instagram page so much he must see my handle in his dreams. 

Of course I had to go with the best month......

So below, on the left is the original picture the illustration was based on and its from my friend Yewande's 50s themed wedding back in September. I especially love the boob job I was given :)

By now you must be wilding out wondering how to get this calendar (and rightly so), easy peasy...they are available in store at L'espace - 19a Olosa street, Victoria Island, Lagos, or online at lespacebylpm.com. The desk version costs N3,000, while the wall version costs N5,000.

Now the kicker is you not only get an aesthetically pleasing calendar to look at for the next 11 months, you can also fill your goody two shoes quota, because 30% of proceeds from all sales of the calendar will go to the YESA Fund.

Got mine and its already assumed pride of place on my coffee table.

Virgos Lounge + L'espace Event

On Sunday I attended the Virgos Lounge launch at L'espace and as promised it was a fun girls day out of cocktails, cupcakes and pampering.

It was very unlike me, I didn't have a single cupcake and there were loads everywhere.

Yup, there were hand and feet massages to be had too.

Did I mention everything was complimentary? Cookies, cupcakes, drinks, massages.......so yeah next time you hear L'espace is having an event I suggest you make your way down there.

Since I'm literally drowning in Virgos Lounge, I thought it prudent not to buy any more so I decided to branch out and try other Nigerian designers.

I got the amaze pink silk pants from Eclectic By Sasha (pictured in this post). I'd had my eye on them  for a while now and they were proper long, like I forget Sasha is quite tall too, thank God she took her fellow long legged girls into consideration. So yeah if you're tall go get trousers from Eclectic By Sasha, great length. Now I just need the geometric print shirt too and all will be well with the world.

I also got a gorge oversize chiffon animal print shirt by Clan  and a colour block print maxi by Rouge Vallari which has an amazing length too, another tall girl pleaser. My friend Joke who's as tall as I am also got one.

Will wear them on here soon enough.

This Week I'm Loving........

I saw these bags in person a few weeks ago at L'espace when I went to get my nails done and I was just bowled away, they are so lush; the mask detail, the hardware, the varied metal clasps, the skin......LOVE.

It was so hard to pick my favourite out of the lot so I just settled on the ones below.

A fashion label by Nigerian female rapper Yetunde Alabi aka Sasha

 

I love the fluid, easy breezy look of her designs and I like that it doesn't necessarily look "Nigerian". The whole collection has a retro-esque feel that comes across beautifully without trying too hard.

 

These are my top picks from Sasha's 'Inception' collection

This is hands down my favourite outfit from the collection, the loud electric pink pants, the even louder geometric print shirt.....dope.
