Virgos Lounge Aggy - 3 Ways
I was in Abuja the majority of last week for work and though I didn't see the sunlight for the first 3 days because of all I had to do, I had at least a day to recuperate before heading back to Lagos.
I haven't been in Abuja properly since I was in Law School and I was so excited to be there I felt like I'd left the country.
My work ended proper on Thursday and everybody knows Thursday nights in Abuja belong to PLAY so I headed down there to BYOB with the best of them.
Pulled out my old faithful, the Virgos Lounge Aggy blazer. I've worn it twice since I got it and it still remains a show stopper whenever its pulled out.
Virgos Lounge Aggy jacket; H&M tank dress; Gucci hightop sneakers
I'd spent most of my week in tight AF shift dresses and heels and my feet were begging for comfort so I decided to indulge them and rock sneakers.
I love the "laid-backness" of the sneakers juxtaposed against the full on glam blazer.
Rocked out at PLAY with my friend Doyin and her husband...
My cousin Charles, who owns PLAY and my brother from another mother, Achike
So I decided to compare this Aggy look with the other two times I've worn it, I think my favourite is the middle photo where I wore it with the sheer maxi skirt.
Where do you guys think I wore it best?

Sequined Black & Beaded Yellow
Horror of horrors, I forgot my camera so I only have these pictures I took just before I left home.
Virgos Lounge Amber blouse in Mustard; ASOS sequined pencil skirt, Zara ankle strap pumps.
Oh yeah, shey you see I took you guys advice, I think I'm going to keep my natural hair out a bit longer. the breakage is hurting my heart but I'm still loving the look.

Wedding Saturdays
So I've had a wedding every Saturday this month so far, more to come before the end of 2012, I'm exhausted just at the thought of it. If these were not all close, personal friends I'd be hibernating at home, phones off so I don't have to spend the day getting dressed and battling bridal traffic.
So my friend Deke got hitched this past Saturday. Anohter oooold friend I've known for almost 2 decades. We met at Vivian Fowler, transferred at the same time to New Jack City aka Queen's College and met up again in Law School so I definitely couldn't miss this one.
I arrived a bit late though because Lekki Expressway is the 7th circle of hell and I missed being able to get a photo of her in her wedding dress but I caught up with her when she changed into her 2nd dress. This was the first time I'd seen a bride wear a coloured reception dress. They usually all stick to white, cream, gold or silver but Deke did purple and it was glorious.
Love it!!!!
My humble self went for tried and tested in Virgos Lounge.
I am very conflicted with the photo below. It was the only picture I had that showed the slit in the dress, but I wasn't very comfortable with the way I looked in it. Sort of what Daisy-Mak would call a "douchebag photo", taking oneself waayyyy too serious.
I really need to fashion blogger up and take pictures where I'm mean mugging like Rumi Neely or looking dreamingly into the distance or accidentally on purpose rifling through my conveniently placed designer bag...or just happening to check the time on my huge man watch....
You know...what serious "bloggers" do.
But maaann, no time...no time at all.
Please, cast your eyes on this baby oku......
Virgos Lounge dress; Topshop 'golden orb' purse; River Island studded sandals
Ahh here's a photo of the couple. Nothing quite like a good looking couple, there don't seem to be a lot of those these days, but these two will definitely contribute equally to a future beautiful baby's gene pool.
No fear of an unfortunate looking spouse mudding these conception waters.
No sirree.
As usual, with every event in Lagos, babes were out to do damage. I looooove the fashion in Lagos, I love that people are always dressed up and take care with their appearance and always look banging. Nothing wrong with being ambivalent to fashion but secretly, I'd love you a little bit more if you gave me life on a daily.
Beautiful People
Until next Saturday gorgeous people, I'll be reporting live from my QC bff, Bukky B's wedding.

OOTD - Black Velvet
Wore this out last week to my friend Nnekas bachelorette party. The theme of the bridal shower had been an English tea party and the plan was to ditch the shift dresses and hats and transform to playboy bunnies/ladies of the night for the hen do. We all had to wear bunny ears for that, I put mine on later.
Dress: Virgos Lounge. Shoes: Topshop ankle strap sandals with perspex heel
This dress is from a Virgos Lounge collection from about 2 years ago I think, can't really remember but the VL aesthetic of sequins and embellishment had already started emerging. I still have a bunch of VL dresses from collections from way back and I love whipping them out now and then because then VL hadn't really flooded the market like it has now and spotting these dresses are like a game of Where's Wally as opposed to now that the fear of wearing aso-ebi with 25 other girls grips me when I'm wearing new VL.
I still love them though and I'll remain a faithful customer but the fear is real.
LOVE this dress.

Virgos Lounge + L'espace Event
On Sunday I attended the Virgos Lounge launch at L'espace and as promised it was a fun girls day out of cocktails, cupcakes and pampering.
Dress: ASOS. Belt: ASOS spiked bar belt. Shoes: River Island studded sandals (my Valentino Rockstuds in my mind). Necklace: New Look
Went with my friends Lin and Abi
Fab gourmet cookies by Cookie Jar
It was very unlike me, I didn't have a single cupcake and there were loads everywhere.
Yup, there were hand and feet massages to be had too.
Did I mention everything was complimentary? Cookies, cupcakes, drinks, massages.......so yeah next time you hear L'espace is having an event I suggest you make your way down there.
The Virgos Lounge stand
Beautiful People.......
Wonu & Isoken, owners of L'espace and LPM
Since I'm literally drowning in Virgos Lounge, I thought it prudent not to buy any more so I decided to branch out and try other Nigerian designers.
I got the amaze pink silk pants from Eclectic By Sasha (pictured in this post). I'd had my eye on them for a while now and they were proper long, like I forget Sasha is quite tall too, thank God she took her fellow long legged girls into consideration. So yeah if you're tall go get trousers from Eclectic By Sasha, great length. Now I just need the geometric print shirt too and all will be well with the world.
I also got a gorge oversize chiffon animal print shirt by Clan and a colour block print maxi by Rouge Vallari which has an amazing length too, another tall girl pleaser. My friend Joke who's as tall as I am also got one.
Will wear them on here soon enough.

So I wanted to do a Giveaway for my Lagos Profashionals and after racking my brain for the perfect item I settled on this FAB dress from the Virgos Lounge Glam Grunge collection
*ding! ding! ding! ding!
This beyootiful dress follows the Virgos Lounge famous vintage inspired ethic and comes in velvet with a fabulously detailed beaded and bedazzled neckline which is repeated around the v shaped dip in the back.
Gorge!
For my last giveaway I asked a question and the winner was the first person to answer correctly but I received a lot of feedback suggesting that choosing a random winner would be more democratic, so in this giveaway I am doing just that.
The giveaway will be open for one week ending on Sunday 14th October 2012. I will announce the winner on Monday the 15th
So here's how you can win this awesome freakum dress:
1. Follow ThirdWorldProfashional dot com on Google Friend connect
2. Like the ThirdWorldProfashional facebook page
3. Leave a comment below with your first name and email address (I know people don't like dropping their government name on the internet), and I will pick the winner with a random number generator.
So you see, no tiresome questions, just drop your first name and email address and cross your fingers hoping the wheel of fortune will swing your way. Deadline is Sunday 14th October 11.59pm. No multiple entries please. Contest is open to Lagos residents only, let me rephrase that, it is open to everybody everywhere but I can only deliver within Lagos so if you live in Abuja and you have someone in Lagos that can pick it up for you that's fine.
The dress is a size 10.
Good luck everyone, the winner will be announced on the blog on Monday 15th October.
