Guardian Life Article - Wardrobe Essentials

So as most of you know, I've been contributing to the Guardian Life magazine for over two months now and its been great so far. I've had a lot of people who didn't live in the country ask where they can read my articles online and today a friend of mine Onyx inspired me to just put up whatever I submit to the Guardian as a post on TWP instead.

So Mondays on TWP will be devoted to my Sunday Guardian Life article.

This what the article looked like.

Wardrobe Essentials

The White Button Down
From Audrey to Jackie….super stylish women know the subtle power of a crisp button down shirt. Its versatility is beyond.

The Plain White Tee Shirt
The fashion equivalent of ketchup, it goes with anything! Worn under a blazer, upgraded with a statement necklace, tucked into a skirt or jeans, the white tee is super versatile.

A Structured Black Blazer
The black blazer is key in your wardrobe. Because it’s black, it goes with virtually everything. You can change the look just by changing the accessories. You have the option of wearing it over dresses or skirts. Don’t forget to make a blazer your own by adding a brooch to the lapel.

The Eternal LBD
When you find the perfect LBD…buy two! Dressed up or dressed down, the little black dress provides timeless elegance.

A Pencil Skirt
Every woman should own a tailored pencil skirt, besides the figure boosting capabilities; they pull awesome double duty from work to play.

Dark Denim
Flattering and timeless, a great pair of dark jeans can do wonders for any woman’s wardrobe. Whether skinny, flare or bootcut…find a silhouette that best fits your body shape.

Black Trousers
A pair of high-quality, flat front, black trousers are a necessity in every wardrobe.

Classic Pumps
The great basic, goes with everything pair of heels will take you from the boardroom to the dance floor in a pinch.

Ballet Flats
Chicer than sneakers and comfier than heels, ballet flats are the best of both worlds.

A Structured Bag
The “everywhere’ bag that goes everywhere and with everything and which can fit everything from a tampon to a feeding bottle.

Sunglasses
Sunglasses are a superpower, a certain someone once said “With my sunglasses on, I'm Jack Nicholson. Without them, I'm fat and 60.” Invest in a pair, you won’t regret it.

Love and light xx
